Set in 4 acres of lush gardens. Dating back to 1823 and full of character, Cascades Gardens is a charming Derbyshire BandB offering uniquely designed rooms with flat-screen TVs. Its extensive gardens include formal beds, water gardens, a winter garden and vegetable patch. Breakfast is served daily and the menu includes a range of fruit, yoghurt and cereals. Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs are also available, in addition to full English breakfast and vegetarian options. Each with its own theme, the elegant rooms at Cascades Gardens come with a large separate bathroom and garden views. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided. With its many waterfalls, the gardens feature hosts of unusual shrubs and flowers. Guests can enjoy spectacular views from the cliff top paths and buy unusual plants in the nursery. In the heart of the Peak District, the BandB is a 20-minute drive from the historic Chatsworth House, home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The 12th-centiry Haddon Hall is also 20 minutes' drive away.
